No. 779 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 11:25 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 779, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 779, transmitted by Finance Nancy Crawford, dated July 13, 2012, <br /> authorizes the acceptance of a donation from Mr. Diego M. Tebaldi, Global Government <br /> Regulatory Affairs, LoJack Corporation, of the following donation: <br /> 1) One ASUS 27" LCD monitor; valued at approximately $280 to be utilized by the <br /> Office of the Prosecuting Attorney in a conference room. <br /> Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the <br /> County, may accept gifts or donations of money. Also, pursuant to Chapter 2, Article 30, <br /> Section 2-162(c), Hawaii County Code, any donation or gift which does not fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance shall be submitted to the Council by <br /> letter for its approval. <br /> First Deputy Prosecutor Dale Ross appeared before Your Committee. Ms. Ross commented this <br /> was received by a visitor giving a presentation at a conference in Waikoloa whom generously <br /> donated this monitor to the Office of Prosecuting Attorney. This was an unsolicited donation. <br /> A letter of appreciation will be sent to Mr. Diego M.
