This measure was placed on the August 14, 2012 Committee <br />agenda, however, this meeting was cancelled due to technical difficulties.) <br />;and <br />From Council Member Pete Hoffmann, dated August 10, 2012, transmitting proposed <br />amendments to Resolution 279 -12. The amendments relate to the "Be it Further Resolved" <br />clause, and Item 2 (Video Testimony). <br />URGES THE HAWAII STATE LEGISLATURE TO ADEQUATELY FUND BOTH THE <br />HAWAII CAMPAIGN SPENDING COMMISSION AND A STATEWIDE <br />COMPREHENSIVE PUBLIC FUNDING SYSTEM FOR ELECTIONS <br />States that the State Legislature take immediate action to adequately fund the Hawai`i Campaign <br />Spending Commission and a statewide comprehensive program upon convening the 2013 <br />legislative session, and that the Council of the County of Hawai`i supports legislative efforts to <br />expand comprehensive public funding throughout the state. <br />Intr. by: Ms. Smart <br />Postponed: July 31, 2012 <br />(Note: There is a pending motion by Ms. Smart and duly seconded by Mr. Yagong to <br />approve Resolution 280 -12.
