COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 265 <br />115 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 1, SECTION 24 -260 <br />OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO <br />SPEED LIMITS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure is to remove an inapplicable item from the <br />Hawai`i County Code. This specific section of Route 132 (Pahoa- Kapoho Road) is currently signed <br />as a 55 mph speed limit road. <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24 -260, Schedule 8. 45 mile <br />per hour limit, subsection (g), Puna, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), <br />is amended by deleting item 3: <br />[(3) Route 132, from the Pohoiki Road Junction to Route 137.] <br />SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In <br />printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be <br />included. <br />SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br />to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br />applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, <br />and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />
