COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 268 <br />ORDINANCE NO. iiG <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 2, SECTION 24 -264 <br />OF THE HAWAI`1 COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO <br />MOVING VEHICLES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure is to amend the Hawai`i County Code based on the <br />East Maka`ala Mixed Use Development Traffic Impact Analysis Report that recommended that the subject <br />intersection be converted to an all -way stop when the traffic volumes warrant it. The Traffic Division <br />conducted a traffic count and all -way stop warrant study in January 2012 and found that the current traffic <br />conditions warrant an all -way stop. <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2, Section 24 -264, Schedule 12. Stop <br />intersections, subsection (c) of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), is amended by <br />adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: <br />() <br />East Puainako Street /Ohuohu Street intersection, all approaches. <br />SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In <br />printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be <br />included. <br />SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br />to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br />applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, <br />and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />
