COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 269 <br />I7 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 1, SECTION 24 -255 <br />OF THE HAWAI`I COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO <br />SPEED LIMITS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure is to revise the speed limits along South <br />Kiilani Road. The Traffic Division's proposal is to keep the existing 25 mph speed limit from <br />Volcano Road up until parcel 1 -8- 086:026. A new 35 mph speed limit will be installed from parcel <br />1 -8- 086:026 to three hundred feet northwest of the bridge 18 -1. The rest of South Kulani Road will <br />remain at 25 mph. <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24 -255, Schedule 3. 25 mile <br />per hour limit, subsection (g)(29), Puna, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as <br />amended), is amended to read as follows: <br />(29) South Kulani Road, from Volcano Road to the property line between parcels 1 -8- <br />086:026 and 1 -8- 086:027. <br />SECTION 3. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24 -255, Schedule 3. 25 mile per hour <br />limit, subsection (g), Puna, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), is amended by <br />adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: <br />( ) <br />South Milani Road, from a point three hundred feet northwest of bridge 18 -1 to <br />its southeastern terminus. <br />
