The amendment is as follows: <br /> From: <br /> 010.3303.32 Federal Grants—Traffic Investigation General $ 10,280 <br /> Program <br /> To: <br /> 010.201.5216.10 HCPD Traffic Investigation Program General $ 10,280 <br /> The State Department of Transportation Public Affairs—Safe Community Program is providing an <br /> additional funding of$10,280 to the Hawai`i County Police Department's Traffic Investigation <br /> program. The grant funds will be used to allow the Hawai`i County Police Department to increase <br /> the number of officers trained in traffic crash reconstruction and other traffic crash-related courses. <br /> The bill amends the Operating Budget by appropriating the additional funds into the Traffic <br /> Investigation program account and bringing the total grant appropriation to $30,280. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, County departments must obtain the consent of <br /> the Council to enter into agreements with the Federal or State governments respecting action to be <br /> taken pursuant to any powers granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other <br /> assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers. <br /> There was no discussion on this measure. <br /> FC Report No. 254 <br />
