4) That the State Elections Commission, as required under Section 11-8.5 of the Hawai`i <br /> Revised Statutes, conduct an investigation of the processes and actions that led up to the <br /> August 11, 2012, mishaps in Hawai`i County, to be applied to the November general <br /> election in order to prevent similar problems in future elections and to clarify <br /> responsibilities among State and County Elections staff; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it <br /> supports the recommendations made by the League of Women Voters to ensure a successful <br /> General Election in Hawai`i County. <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be transmitted to the <br /> Honorable Governor Neil Abercrombie, the Honorable Lt. Governor Brian Schatz, the Honorable <br /> Mayor William P.
