COUNTY OF HAWAII - ••� • STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • �tF OF•N�'i, <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 319 12 <br /> A RESOLUTION RELATING TO PROPOSALS FOR INCLUSION IN THE 2013 <br /> HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES (HSAC) LEGISLATIVE PACKAGE. <br /> WHEREAS, proposals have been submitted by member counties of the Hawaii State <br /> Association of Counties (HSAC) for consideration and adoption by the Hawai`i County Council <br /> for inclusion in the 2013 HSAC Legislative Package; and <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of September 11, 2012, and October 12, 2012, the HSAC <br /> Executive Committee approved for inclusion in the 2013 HSAC Legislative Package: five <br /> proposals submitted by Hawai`i County, one proposal submitted by Maui County, nine proposals <br /> submitted by the City and County of Honolulu, two proposals submitted by Kaua`i County, and <br /> one proposal submitted by HSAC; and <br /> WHEREAS,timely action and concurrence by all four counties is required to approve <br /> each proposal for inclusion in the 2013 HSAC Legislative Package to be presented to the State <br /> Legislature when it convenes in session on January 18, 2013; and <br /> WHEREAS, the HSAC President and the members of the HSAC Executive Committee <br /> have set a deadline of December 6, 2012 for all counties to approve proposals to be included in <br /> the final package; and <br /> WHEREAS,proposals submitted by the respective counties are listed below and copies <br /> of the Justification Sheet and the proposed Bills are attached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part <br /> hereof: <br /> 1. A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO AGRICULTURAL PRODUCT <br /> BRANDING AND COUNTRY OR REGION OF ORIGIN LABELING (County <br /> of Hawai`i) <br /> 2. A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO THE DEFINITION OF INDIGENT <br /> AND PARTIALLY INDIGENT (County of Hawai`i) <br /> 3. A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO GALLONAGE TAX ON LIQUOR <br /> (County of Hawai`i) <br /> 4. A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO FOOD LABELING (County of Hawai`i) <br />
