SUMADA, Depu Chief ngineer <br /> SUBJECT: Communication 1007 Request for Sidewalk Use Permit <br /> Hawaiian Buy & Sell Publication Dispensers <br /> Should permits be granted for the placement ofthe subject publication dispensers the following should <br /> be included as a condition of approval: <br /> Should the publication dispenser interfere with or obstruct any County facility, authorized <br /> improvement, construction work or repairs, the permittee shall, at their own expense, either: <br /> 1. Remove the dispenser or <br /> 2. Relocate the dispenser to a location acceptable to the Chief Engineer. <br /> We are recommending this language to account for unforseen sight distance problems that may arise at <br /> existing driveways/intersections or interference with utility work/repairs or other construction related <br /> activities. Certain dispensers may interfere with the Department's planned upgrades to traffic signals <br /> and ADA facilities in downtown Hilo. <br /> Comm.
