No. 16-13 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 2:31 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 16-13, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 16-13, transmitted jointly with Bill No. 5, by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via <br /> Communication No. 19, dated December 4, 2012, authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement with <br /> the State of Hawai`i Department of the Attorney General for the Hawai`i County Police Department's <br /> Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE)program. This program is an undertaking to improve <br /> Hawai`i County's response to violent crimes against women. The funds will be used to contract an <br /> agency to oversee, coordinate and perform services of the SAFE program. <br /> Lt.
