The amendment is <br /> as follows: <br /> From: <br /> 010.3302.37 Federal Grants—Sex Assault Forensic General $ 52,068 <br /> Examiner (SAFE) Grant <br /> To: <br /> 010.201.5219.67 SAFE Grant General $ 52,068 <br /> The State Department of the Attorney General Crime Prevention and Justice Assistance Division is <br /> providing a grant to improve Hawai`i County's response to violent crimes against women. This <br /> program is an undertaking to improve Hawai`i County's response to violent crimes against women. <br /> These funds will be used to contract an agency to oversee, coordinate and perform services of the <br /> Hawai`i County Police Department's SAFE program. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, County departments must obtain the consent of the <br /> Council to enter into agreements with the Federal or State governments respecting action to be taken <br /> pursuant to any powers granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other assistance <br /> connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers. <br /> Lt.
