Direct and coordinate the daily operations of the Neighborhood Place of Kona, a <br /> community based 501(c) 3 non profit organization that provides outreach services to <br /> children and families that are at risk for child abuse and neglect in the districts of Kona, <br /> Kohala and Kau on the Island of Hawaii. Establish and sustain community partnership <br /> with private and public agencies (DOH, DHS/CWS, DOE, Judiciary, Police, KCPC, etc.) <br /> and individual providers. Develop strategies to carry out the mission and objective of <br /> NPK. Be a catalyst in reforming the community attitude and values toward child, youth <br /> and family welfare reform. Responsibilities encompassed the development of goals <br /> and strategic/action plans, development and management of operating budget (1.5 <br /> million), implementation of policies and procedures, supervision of 30 staff members and <br /> the management of 2 school facilities, vehicles and equipment. <br /> Salvation Army Residential Treatment Facilities for Children Honolulu, HI> <br /> And Youth June 72 to Aug. 78 <br /> Teacher- (Math, Social Studies, Physical Education)—Develop, implement and monitor <br /> psycho-educational activities for 15 severely emotionally challenged youths between the <br /> ages of 13 to 15. <br /> Program Specialist (Recreational Therapy)—Facilitate the development and <br /> implementation of therapeutical recreational activities for 36 severely emotionally <br /> challenged youths from ages 13 to 18. This to include, leisure time, after school, <br /> weekend, outdoor educational and summer camping activities. <br />
