J�tV OSM i'.. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ••l�T�.Oi Mrs'`` <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 33 13 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY <br /> DONATION OF $1,500 TO THE HAWAII COUNTY FIRE <br /> DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Hilo Wal-Mart is donating $1,500 to the Hawaii County Fire <br /> Department's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Bureau; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used to help pay for EMS tablet computers; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that <br /> the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or <br /> other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article <br /> 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, <br /> securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the <br /> Department of Finance, may be accepted by Resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that cash <br /> donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal Resolution process; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, <br /> Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii <br /> accepts this donation. <br />
