No. 6/Bill No. 1 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:00 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No. 1, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 1, transmitted by Mayor Billy Kenoi, via Communication No. 6, dated <br /> November 20, 2012, amends the State Land Use Boundaries Maps for the County of Hawai`i <br /> by changing the District Classification from the Agricultural to the Rural District at Pu'ukapu <br /> Homesteads 1St, South Kohala, Hawai`i for 1.0046 acres of land covered by Tax Map Key <br /> 6-4-001:099. <br /> The Mayor is transmitting the above bill and enclosures, with a favorable recommendation from <br /> the Leeward Planning Commission. The applicant wishes to subdivide the property into two <br /> residential/agricultural lots and convey the new lot to her son. <br /> The applicant was represented by her daughter Keiko Bonk who testified that the property in <br /> question is surrounded by 1/2 acre lots and that this request will be consistent with the rest of the <br /> area.
