No. 52/Bill No. 13 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 2:40 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Bill No. 13, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 13, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via Communication No. 52, dated <br /> December 21, 2012, amends Ordinance No. 12-87, as amended, Relating to Public Improvements <br /> and Financing thereof for the fiscal year July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013. The amendment is as follows: <br /> PUBLIC WORKS: <br /> Kealakehe WWTP Upgrade and Sludge Removal - SRF <br /> (110.699.5696.48) $ 12,000,000 <br /> Funds for this appropriation increase shall be provided from: <br /> State Revolving Funds (SRF) $ 12,000,000 <br /> This project was previously appropriated as a project funded by County general obligation bonds. This <br /> request is to appropriate State Revolving Loan Funds for this project in order to take advantage of the lower <br /> interest rates provided by this program. <br /> Acting Director Dora Beck and Solid Waste Division Chief Greg Goodale, from the Environmental <br /> Management Department, were present in the Council Chambers for questions by the members of the <br /> Committee.
