No. 34-13 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 2:40 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 34-13, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 34-13, transmitted jointly with Bill No. 16, by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via <br /> Communication No. 57, dated December 21, 2012, authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement with <br /> the State of Hawai`i Department of Agriculture, pursuant to HRS 46-7, for a grant to purchase desktop <br /> and laptop computer equipment for the Hawai`i Fire Department's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) <br /> Bureau. <br /> The grant funds will allow the Fire Department's EMS Bureau to update current desktop and laptop <br /> computers. Many of the existing computers were purchased in 2006 and are now obsolete. The <br /> extended performance period ends March 27, 2013. <br /> Battalion Chief Lance Uchida, from the Fire Department, appeared before Your Committee for <br /> questions.
