�JNtY OF <br /> 7i' ' <br /> • <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII ;I•:,��' � • STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 44 13 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY <br /> DONATION OF $250 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION TO ASSIST WITH PARKS MAINTENANCE <br /> OPERATIONS <br /> WHEREAS, W. H. Shipman is donating $250 to the Department of Parks and <br /> Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used to help fund the Department of Parks and <br /> Recreation's Vulcan Baseball Clinic to be held on January 31, 2013 at the Kea'au Shipman <br /> Park; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai`i County Charter provides that <br /> the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or <br /> other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article <br /> 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, <br /> securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the <br /> Department of Finance, may be accepted by Resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that cash <br /> donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal Resolution process; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of <br /> this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai`i County Charter, and Chapter 2, <br /> Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii <br /> accepts this donation. <br />
