No. 66/Bill No. 20 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:01 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No. 20, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 20, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi, via Communication No. 66, dated <br /> December 14, 2012, amends section 25-8-7 (North and South Kohala Zone Map), Article 8, <br /> Chapter 25 (Zoning Code) of the Hawaii County Code'1983 (2005 Edition), by changing the <br /> district classification from Agricultural—five acres (A-5a) to Village Commercial—20,000: <br /> square feet(CV-20) at Waikoloa, South Kohala,Hawai`i, covered by tax map key 6-8-002:021 <br /> (por) (applicant: Hawaiian Riverbend,LLC) (Area: 14.622 acres). <br /> Mayor William P. Kenoi is transmitting the above bills and enclosures with a favorable <br /> recommendation from the Leeward Planning Commission. The applicant wishes to develop a <br /> commercial shopping complex at the intersection of Waikoloa Road and Painolo Avenue. <br /> Mr. Sidney Fuke, representing the applicant Hawaiian Riverbend, LLC, explained that this <br /> rezoning request is necessary to develop the parcel.
