Daniel K. Inouye <br /> Please find attached proposed amendments to Resolution No. 52-13. The proposed <br /> amendments are illustrated below in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of <br /> Resolution No. 52-13, and bolded for illustrative purposes. <br /> 1. The title is amended to read as follows: <br /> "A RESOLUTION URGING THE [ ] STATE OF HAWAII <br /> DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO RENAME THE SADDLE ROAD IN <br /> HONOR OF DANIEL K. INOUYE.” <br /> 2. A new clause is inserted as the seventh clause to read as follows: <br /> "WHEREAS, upon completion of the realignment of the Saddle Road, the State <br /> of Hawaii Department of Transportation will have sole jurisdiction over the highway; <br /> and" <br /> 3. The eighth clause is stricken and replaced by a new clause to read as follows: <br /> "[WHEREAS, Hawai`i Senate Bill Ale. 50 would rename the Saddle Road the <br /> "Daniel K. Inouye legacy highway"; and] <br /> WHEREAS, Hawai`i Senate Resolution No. 21, Hawaii Senate Concurrent <br /> Resolution No. 43, and House Concurrent Resolution No. 42 request the State of <br /> Hawaii Department of Transportation,when appropriate, to rename the Saddle Road <br /> the "Daniel K.
