The purpose of this measure is to amend the project <br /> authorization amounts for two Housing projects. <br /> The"Kawaihae Housing Closure" project was completed for less than the estimated amount authorized in <br /> Ordinance 11-40. The"Kaloko Housing Project",also authorized in the same ordinance, is ongoing and <br /> in need of additional funding in order to continue construction. The funding would also allow the County <br /> to take advantage of additional federal funding that may be available if it can be used this fiscal year. <br /> The proposed amendment to Ordinance 11-40 would reduce"Kawaihae Housing Closure"by <br /> $1,291,332.55 and increase"Kaloko Housing Project"by that same amount.
