No. 129/Bill No. 37 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 2:05 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 37, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 37, transmitted by Council Member Brenda J. Ford, via Communication No. 129 dated <br /> January 31, 2013, amends Ordinance No. 12-87, as amended, relating to public improvements and <br /> financing thereof for the fiscal year July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013. The amendment is as follows: <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> Kahuku Park Improvements, Phase 3, Children's Playground <br /> Equipment, Matting, and Gazebo <br /> (110.599.5598.83) $ 250,000 <br /> Funds for this appropriation increase shall be provided from: <br /> General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund-Fund Balance <br /> and/or Other Sources $ 250,000 <br /> The proposed bill adds the Kahuku Park Improvements, Phase 3, Children's Playground Equipment, <br /> Matting and Gazebo project for $250,000 to the Capital Budget. <br /> Ms. Ford urged the Council to support Bill No. 37; however, she stated that an amendment will be <br /> forthcoming. The Parks and Recreation Department and Ms. Ford are working together to make some <br /> changes based on community input. <br /> Pursuant to Section 10-6(d), Hawai`i County Charter, the Council may amend the Capital Budget for <br /> that year with a two-thirds vote. <br /> FC Report No. 39 <br />
