No. 66-13 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 2:05 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 66-13, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 66-13, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via Communication No. 155 <br /> dated February 21, 2013, authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawai`i <br /> Department of Human Resources Development, pursuant to HRS 46-7, to provide workers' <br /> compensation administration services. <br /> The Department of Human Resources Workers' Compensation Division seeks to renew its agreement <br /> with the State of Hawai`i to continue providing workers' compensation administration services for the <br /> Department of Parks and Recreation and the Police Department. <br /> There was no discussion on this measure. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, county departments must obtain the consent of the <br /> Council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to be taken <br /> pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds or other <br /> assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 66-13, and <br /> recommends its adoption. <br /> Sc <br /> AYES NOES A&E EX Respectfully submitted, <br /> EOFF X <br /> FORD X COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> ILAGAN X <br /> KANUHA X <br /> KERN X 4;2 <br /> ONISHI X <br /> POINDEXTER X VALERIE T.
