With a focus on leadership <br /> in a local and global scale, this project aims to develop important skill sets in many Hawaii students and <br /> willing participants. Our presentation focuses on the following topics involved in the forum; <br /> 1. Importance of international relations <br /> 2. Importance of civic values <br /> 3. Expanding education <br /> 4. Student involvement in extracurricular activities <br /> 5. Promoting better future leaders <br /> 6. Important skills needed for success <br /> 7. Spreading awareness within the community <br /> 8. Giving back to the community <br /> The Civic Engagement& Policy Forum is organized by students for students. An effective method <br /> towards promoting key values through peer leadership, it provides a hands-on experience for participants <br /> to learn through interaction. <br /> The Civic Engagement& Policy Forum is a three-day event for Hawaii students in grades 5`1'—12`"to <br /> actively participate in organized simulations that range from local to international levels.
