Gomes, Sr., of Council District 6 to the County of <br /> Hawai'i Police Commission. Mr. Gomes is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. From 1962 to 1988, he <br /> was employed by the Hawai'i County Police Department, where he retired as a Sergeant after <br /> 26 years of service. <br /> Mr. Gomes is a Volunteer Reserve Officer with the Hawai'i Police Department. He is an active <br /> member of the Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a volunteer announcer at KAHU Radio <br /> Station. Mr. Gomes states that he is a Democrat.
