No. 217 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:00 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 217, reports as <br /> follows: <br /> Communication No. 217, from Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated March 14, 2013, transmits the <br /> nomination of Ms. Faith Yates to the North Kohala Community Development Plan Action <br /> Committee. <br /> Executive Assistant to Mayor Kenoi, Ms. Charmaine Shigemura, introduced Ms. Yates, who was <br /> present in Waimea. Ms. Shigemura expressed the Mayor's request for Ms. Yates' favorable <br /> confirmation. <br /> She introduced Ms. Yates as a 14-year resident of North Kohala and a lifetime resident of <br /> Hawai`i, who was employed for 25 years as an Administrative Assistant for Prudential. <br /> Ms. Yates also has a cultural background associated with her activities in hula, chants, Hawaiian <br /> music, and believes Hawaiian values are very important. <br /> Ms. Wille expressed her excitement to have Ms. Yates join the Action Committee and become <br /> part of the Waimea community. <br /> Ms. Yates commented that she is very happy to serve in this capacity and to be able to give back <br /> to the community in this way. Ms. Yates was informed that she does not need to appear before <br /> the full Council for final confirmation. <br /> PC Report No. 33 <br />
