She attended the University of <br /> New Mexico and the University of Hawaii, Hilo campus and began her Real Estate career in <br /> 1974. She became a Real Estate Broker in 1980 and opened her own office in 1982. She is the <br /> sole owner and Principal-Broker of Jan Mahuna Inc. and does both real estate sales and property <br /> management. During the Carpenter Administration she served as Chair of the Ethics Board and <br /> also served on the Civil Service Commission. She has also done volunteer work with the Red <br /> Cross doing damage assessments when there is a major disaster. In 2012, she served on the Real <br /> Property Tax Ad-Hoc Committee which undertook a preliminary assessment of the <br /> recommendations from the 2012 report of the International Association of Assessing Officers. <br /> Bob Price was a licensed realtor in the State of Indiana from 1976-1994 and was elected to the <br /> County Council in the State of Indiana from 1988-1994. He also was an elected Assessor in the <br /> State of Indiana from 1994-2002. After moving to Hawai`i, he worked as a Hawai`i County <br /> assessor from 2005-2010, after which he retired. In 2012, he served on the Real Property Tax <br /> Ad-Hoc Committee which undertook a preliminary assessment of the recommendations from the <br /> 2012 report of the International Association of Assessing Officers. Bob would like to continue <br /> working to improve the County's real property tax program. <br /> Stewart Hussey is a Hawaii Certified General Appraiser and President of the Lawrence <br /> Appraisal Group Hawai`i, Inc. (dba Hussey Appraisal Group Hawai`i). He has been appraising <br /> on the Island of Hawaii since 1991.
