Re: Resolution for multi-year lease <br /> Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year <br /> for a new Voice Over Internet Phone system for the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney's <br /> Kona Office. Their current copier, purchased in 1998, is becoming obsolete and <br /> requiring frequent service calls. Having a fully operational phone system is critical to the <br /> Kona office's operations as it is needed by the staff that handle a large volume of work <br /> with two Circuit Courts, one District Court, and one Family Court. <br /> A new leased VOIP system that is able to meet their phone, fax, and alarm service <br /> needs would improve overall efficiency in the office and allow staff to complete their <br /> duties without interruption. It is more cost effective to lease a new system than <br /> purchasing a replacement and paying the maintenance costs.
