Cohen to the South Kohala <br /> Community Development Plan (CDP) Action Committee, for a four-year term. Mr. Cohen is a 12- <br /> year resident of Hawai'i Island who has lived in Waimea for the past five years. <br /> Mr. Cohen is presently retired. His past work experience in California is with Human Resources, <br /> Personnel, Parks and Recreation, and Youth Services. He is a former member of the Hawaii <br /> County Merit Appeals Board, and past president and a current board member of the Hamakua <br /> Youth Foundation. Mr. Cohen was the Interim Executive Director of the Hamakua Youth Center in <br /> 2010, past chair of the YWCA Hamakua Youth Center Advisory Committee, and past vice-chair of <br /> the Hamakua Power of Choice. He is also a former team member of the North Hawaii Drug Free <br /> Coalition. <br /> Mr. Cohen's previous work experience and his extensive involvement with community <br /> organizations will provide an excellent viewpoint into the Action Committee meetings and <br /> discussions. <br /> Should you have any questions or concerns, please call me at your convenience.
