REQUEST: <br /> An ordinance amending Ordinance 13-66, The Capital Budget, by adding an appropriation for: <br /> New Street Light Installation State Roadways Islandwide - State $700,000.00 <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> Request to amend the current CIP budget for installation of LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes)to replace existing <br /> LPS (Low Pressure Sodium) streetlights along State of Hawai'i roadways. These street lights are currently <br /> maintained by the County of Hawaii Traffic Division through a separate maintenance contract with the State <br /> Department of Transportation (State DOT).
