BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Ane Keohokalole Highway Project encroached into a portion of the 3.43 acre aupaka (isodendrion <br /> pyrifolium) preserve located adjacent to the project and within the Kealakehe ahupuaa. As part of the <br /> Endangered Species Act (ESA) Section 7 mitigation efforts, FHWA in a letter to the USFWS dated March 10, <br /> 2010 committed $35,000 for the Aupaka preservation efforts. <br /> We request to waive Finance Committee and to move this bill onto the County Council, to expedite the <br /> project's progress. <br /> SIGNED: DATE: l'')/11114 <br /> 1.Department Head <br />
