�JN�v os p�• COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 137 13 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF 30 TORCH- DOWN DECALS WHEREAS, McDonald's Restaurants of Hawaii is donating thirty (30) torch- down decals, with an estimated value of $2,000 to the Department of Public Works, Traffic Division; and WHEREAS, these decals will be used as part of McDonald's Pedestrian Safety program in support of public safety; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this donation.
