REQUEST: <br /> To accept and acknowledge 30 torch-down decals being provided to the Department of Public Works, Traffic <br /> Division for a total monetary value of$2,000.00 from McDonald's Restaurants of Hawai'i. These decals will <br /> be provided to the Traffic division with 10 decals per year, starting in 2013 through 2015 in an effort to create <br /> an environment that supports walking and student safety in a pedestrian-safety program a t school locations. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> Council action is being requested to accept and acknowledge these 30 torch-down decals valued at <br /> $2,000.00 that will be used as part of McDonald's Pedestrian Safety program in support of public safety at <br /> school locations. This donation is being received from the McDonald's Restaurants of Hawai'i, whose <br /> mailing address is 1132 Bishop St., Ste. 2000, Honolulu, Hi. 96813.
