The bill adds a new <br />article to Chapter 14, General Welfare titled "Genetically Modified (Transgenic) <br />Organisms Prohibited," to prohibit the propagation, cultivation, raising, growing, sale <br />or distribution of transgenic organisms (GMO's). <br />Postponed: May 29, 2013 <br />(There is a pending motion made by Ms. Wille and duly seconded by Mr. Kanuha <br />to recommend passage of Bill 79 on first reading; and a pending motion made by <br />Ms. Wille and duly seconded by Ms. Eoff to amend Bill 79 with the contents of <br />Comm. 271.146.) <br />; and <br />Serving the Interests of the People of Our Island <br />Hawaii County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer <br />
