JNtY;.�f h, ••, COUNTY OF HAWAII ' STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 139 13 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A CARGO TRUCK WHEREAS, Rick Crosby and others are donating one (1) 1998 M903 cargo truck, with an estimated value of$2,450 to the Hawaii Fire Department; and WHEREAS, this vehicle will be used to support the Hawaii Fire Department and the Ocean View Volunteer Fire Company personnel to assist with the response to, and extinguishment of, fire emergencies; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this donation.
