REQUEST: <br /> To enter into a multi -year lease agreement for five (5) years for a multifunction large capacity copier at the <br /> Hilo Prosecutor's office.. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> We would like to request the authorization of payment of funds for more than one fiscal year for a new copier <br /> lease for the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney's Hilo Office. The lease would be for five years. <br /> We are seeking the replacement of a multifunctional copier for the Hilo office. The current copier was <br /> purchased on a 5 year maintenance plan which will expire in July, 2013. This machine is becoming <br /> obsolete, has been requiring frequent service calls, and is not suitable for continued service. The copier is <br /> critical to handle the volume of work for our staff covering two Circuit courts, one District Court and one <br /> Family court. A new leased multifunctional copier able to meet copying, printing and scanning needs will <br /> i prove overall efficiency in the office.
