INVITATION: Hawai'i Island GMO SUMMIT-Monday,August 19th <br /> The mission of Hawai'i Island Economic Development Board (HIEDB) is to provide and promote private sector <br /> support and expertise for economic development, diversification and balanced growth in Hawaii County in <br /> partnership with Federal, State, County and private resources. Hawaii Leeward Planning Conference (HLPC) is <br /> dedicated to advocating sound planning decisions and effective government process to promote long-term benefits <br /> for Hawaii Island and its communities. Both organizations are also committed to education, public outreach, and <br /> informed discussion. <br /> HIEDB and HLPC members, and other stakeholders are looking for information on genetically modified organisms <br /> (GMO) in order to understand the ongoing debate and make informed decisions. <br /> In an effort to provide such information, HIEDB and HLPC are co-hosting a GMO Summit on August 19`h. <br /> Registration is now open and you are invited to the Hawaii Island GMO Summit being co-hosted by HIEDB and <br /> HLPC(registration form attached).
