COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> 4Tt Of•N' . <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 194 j <br /> (DRAFT 2) <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER <br /> FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A <br /> MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR MOBILE DATA TERMINALS TO BE USED <br /> BY THE HAWAII COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br /> lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later <br /> fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year lease <br /> agreement for three (3) years, for one hundred (100) mobile data terminals to be used <br /> by the Police Department at various locations throughout Hawaii Island; and <br /> WHEREAS, the mobile data terminals will be placed in various officer's vehicles to <br /> allow them to file reports when the are away from their stations; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a three (3) year lease <br /> agreement for one hundred (100) mobile data terminals for the Hawaii <br /> County Police Department. <br /> 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the <br /> anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. <br /> 3. That the total cost for the three (3) year lease agreement shall not <br /> exceed $482,000. <br />
