REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON GOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS <br /> AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> REGARDING: Comm. No. 448/Res. No. 181-13 <br /> DATE: November 5, 2013 <br /> LOCATION: Council Chambers, Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TITLE: A resolution to approve legislative proposals for inclusion in the 2014 Hawaii <br /> State Association of Counties Legislative Package. <br /> EXPLANATION: Approves proposals for inclusion in the 2014 Hawaii State Association of <br /> Counties Legislative Package. Proposals must be approved by all four counties <br /> to be included in the legislative package. <br /> This resolution was introduced by Mr. Onishi at the meeting on October 15, <br /> 2013, and postponed to November 5, 2013. <br /> Prior to approval, Your Committee divided the question and made a motion to <br /> accept each of the proposals in Exhibit A. At the final reading at full council, <br /> Your Committee anticipates an amended resolution with Exhibit B to reflect <br /> the following results: <br /> 1. A Bill for an Act Relating to Public Agency Meetings and Records <br /> (County of Maui) <br /> Not accepted due to a vote of zero ayes, eight nays, one excused. <br /> 2. A Bill for an Act Relating to Intoxicating Liquor -H.B. 230 (County of <br /> Maui) <br /> Not accepted due to a vote of two ayes, six noes, one excused. <br /> 3. A Bill for an Act Relating to Transportation (County of Maui) <br /> Accepted due to a vote of six ayes, two noes, one excused. <br /> 4. A Bill for an Act Relating to Liability (County of Kauai) <br /> Accepted due to a vote of seven ayes, one no, one excused. <br /> 5. A Bill for an Act Relating to Transient Accommodations Tax (County <br /> of Hawaii) <br /> Accepted due to a vote of eight ayes, one excused. <br /> 6. A Bill for an Act Relating to Education(County of Hawaii) <br /> Accepted due to a vote of eight ayes, one excused. <br /> 7.
