The <br /> purpose of this measure is to amend the project authorization amounts in order to free up funds <br /> no longer needed for projects and redirect them for other uses. <br /> Projects "Pool Drain Covers" and "Kalaniana`ole Sewer Rehabilitation Phase 2" are being <br /> deleted from the authorized list because they were completed with other funding. "Banyan <br /> Beach Parking Lot" project has been postponed indefinitely due to a legal dispute related to <br /> ownership of the property. The available funds will be used for badly needed major maintenance <br /> on wastewater facilities and other county facilities, primarily police and fire stations. This will <br /> include resolving ADA compliance issues, as well. <br /> The proposed amendment to Ordinance 11-40/13-47 will redirect $7,700,000 to the referenced <br /> new uses.
