STATE OF HAWAII •.'4 4 RESOLUTION NO. 258 13 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT AWARD OF $1,781 TO THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT TO PURCHASE TWO CAMERAS, LENSES, MEMORY CARDS AND FLASHES WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department has been selected to receive a grant award of$1,781 from FM Global; and WHEREAS, these funds will be used to purchase two cameras, lenses, memory cards and flashes; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by Resolution approved by the Council; and WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this grant; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii accepts these funds. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, the Finance Department, and the Fire Department.
