Project Number 12-WF-05 <br /> C O N T R A C T <br /> THIS CONTRACT, executed on the respective dates <br /> indicated below, is effective as of September 1, 2013 , <br /> by and between the Department of the Attorney General, State of <br /> Hawaii, hereinafter called "Agency, " by and through the Attorney <br /> General, and the Hawai' i Police Department, County of Hawai' i , <br /> hereinafter called "Grantee . " <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> WHEREAS, Title IV of the Violent Crime Control and Law <br /> Enforcement Act of 1994 , 42 U. S . C. 3796 et seq. , as amended <br /> (hereinafter "Act") , was enacted to make grants to states for <br /> developing and strengthening effective law enforcement and <br /> prosecutorial strategies and victim services in cases involving <br /> crimes against women.
