�YY os M' <br /> • ; <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ,THOS M'� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2G8 14 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO NEGOTIATE A <br /> LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY, BEING A PORTION OF THE HAWAIIAN BEACHES <br /> HEAD START FACILITY, SITUATED AT HAWAIIAN BEACHES, DISTRICT OF <br /> PUNA, ISLAND, COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAII AND IDENTIFIED AS BEING <br /> A PORTION OF TAX MAP KEY (3)1-5-067:035, TO PARENTS AND CHILDREN <br /> TOGETHER <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii, hereinafter"County,"owns the parcel of land <br /> known as Hawaiian Beaches Head Start Facility (hereinafter"Site"), located at Hawaiian <br /> Beaches, District of Puna, Island, County and State of Hawaii, Tax Map Key (3)1-5- <br /> 067:035, as further described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and <br /> WHEREAS, Parents and Children Together(hereinafter"PACT") is a Hawaii not- <br /> for-profit corporation and family service agency; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Site was operated on an interim basis by the Community <br /> Development Institute Head Start, (hereinafter"Head Start') as a child care center from <br /> 1992; and <br /> WHEREAS, on November 4, 2010 Head Start notified the County that PACT was <br /> selected as the permanent grantee and operator of the program replacing Head Start; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 9, 2011 PACT became the operator of the Site and signed a <br /> temporary one year lease with the County; and <br />
