This appropriation <br /> reflects the reallocation of Program Year (PY) 2011 and prior years' HOME funds from the <br /> County of Maui to the County of Hawai`i by the State's Hawai`i Housing Finance and <br /> Development Corporation(HHFDC). Also enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter <br /> into an agreement with the Hawai`i Housing Finance and Development Corporation in order to <br /> accept these funds. <br /> The Office of Housing and Community Development indicates that the funds will be used to install <br /> a photovoltaic (PV) system in the Mohouli Heights Senior Neighborhood Project which will <br /> consist of 60 one bedroom, one bath units for the elderly, located in Hilo, Hawai`i. <br /> The Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) requests that this bill be waived <br /> from the Finance Committee and be placed on the February 5, 2014 Council agenda in order to <br /> meet spending deadline criteria.
