(Section 13-20(a), Hawaii County <br />Charter) <br />(g) Authorize (approve or deny) requests for items to be waived to the Council <br />agenda upon written approval of the Committee Chairperson. <br />(h) Provide for the coordination of all meetings, functions, and legislative and <br />administrative activities of the Council, and assure that they are honestly, <br />efficiently and lawfully conducted. <br />(i) Make known all rules of order when so requested and decide all questions of <br />order and procedure, subject to appeal to the Council. <br />0) Serve as the chief spokesman and representative of the Council for matters before <br />the public, the state and the federal governments, and the County administration <br />in accordance with the official position of the Council. <br />(k) Assist the Chairpersons and members of the Committees and ad hoc committees <br />by assuring the availability of adequate administrative and staff support. <br />(1) Authorize (approve or deny) all travel requests of Council Members and staff as <br />provided in the Section 13-17, Hawaii County Charter, and Article 16, Section 2- <br />94(a) and (b), Hawaii County Code. <br />(m) Recommend a calendar of events to include Council meetings, Committee <br />meetings, agenda deadlines, recesses, special meetings, holidays, etc. <br />
