COUNTY OF HAWAII -•4 ' �_• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 309 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND <br /> FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE FUNDS THAT WILL SUPPORT THE <br /> "TEEN DATING VIOLENCE PREVENTION PEER EDUCATION CONFERENCES". <br /> WHEREAS, the Committee on the Status of Women is coordinating the "Teen Dating <br /> Violence Prevention Peer Education Conferences"; and <br /> WHEREAS, the speaker for these conferences, Dr. Jill Murray, is regarded as the leading <br /> expert on the subject of teen dating abuse in the United States as a licensed marriage and family <br /> therapist, authoring three books on domestic violence; and <br /> WHEREAS, funds are needed to bring these valuable conferences to the Puna district to <br /> increase awareness of the harmful, far-reaching effects of teen dating violence and help progress <br /> towards ending these acts in the community; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney to support "Teen Dating Violence Prevention Peer Education Conferences"; <br /> now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL: <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $3,500 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $3,500 <br />
