VI OF M11..•. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII -+� �'''-`'���•- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> *os•N►.d <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 31 I_-4 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION <br /> OF VOLLEYBALL EQUIPMENT FOR THE MOUNTAIN VIEW GYM IN <br /> MOUNTAIN VIEW, HAWAII <br /> WHEREAS, the Queen Lili'uokalani Children's Center is donating volleyball <br /> equipment, valued at $5,369 to the Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, this equipment will be utilized at the Mountain View Gym located <br /> in Mountain View, Hawaii; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br /> any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br /> resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the <br /> County of Hawai`i accepts this donation. <br />
