HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL <br /> NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> .a <br /> (March 18, 2014) 42 <br /> (Council Chambers - West Hawai`i Civic Center, Building A, <br /> 74-5044Ane Keohokalole Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii) <br /> SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br /> LONO KONA SUBDIVISION, NORTH KONA, HAWAII <br /> TO THE OWNERS OF LANDS TO BE ASSESSED AND/OR ACQUIRED WITHIN <br /> SAID IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AND TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED <br /> GENERALLY: <br /> Pursuant to Resolution No. 264-14, adopted on January 22, 2014, the Hawaii County Council <br /> proposes to establish a Sewer System Improvement District(the "Improvement District") for the <br /> Lono Kona Subdivision, North Kona, Hawaii, and to assess properties within said Improvement <br /> District as provided in Chapter 12, Hawaii County Code. <br /> Pursuant to the requirements of Sections 12-10(e), 12-27 and 12-28, Hawaii County Code, <br /> notice is hereby given of the following: <br /> 1. General Details of Proposed Improvements <br /> This Improvement District is being initiated by the Hawaii County Council for the design and <br /> installation of a public sewer system for the Lono Kona Subdivision (the "Special <br /> Improvements"), as more fully described in an amended report on the proposed establishment of <br /> the Improvement District from the Director of the Hawaii County Department of Environmental <br /> Management(Communication No. 492.1) dated December 11, 2013 (including the Exhibits <br /> attached thereto, the "Director's Report"). The Director's Report includes, among other things: <br /> (i) a map showing the locations of the Special Improvements; (ii) a preliminary assessment roll <br /> for the Improvement District; (iii) a description of assessment units to be assessed within the <br /> Improvement District, including the method of assessment of each assessment unit, the <br /> maximum proposed assessment for each assessment unit and a list of all known owners of the <br /> assessment units; and (iv) an estimate of the costs of the Special Improvements by the Director <br /> of the Department of Environmental Management. <br /> Scope and Location ofSpecial Improvements. This Improvement District consists of 145 <br /> "assessment units" (i.e., subdivided parcels or condominium units) on 110 lots within the Lono <br /> Hawai`i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer <br />
