COUNTY OF HAWAII "4 '` '�" STATE OF HAWAII <br /> 4•'1' •gTEOF N►•P <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 33 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR <br /> AGREEMENT FOR A NEW PHONE SYSTEM FOR THE PROSECUTING <br /> ATTORNEY'S HILO OFFICE <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other <br /> obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one <br /> fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the phone system currently in use by the Hilo Prosecutor's Office is seven (7) years <br /> old and obsolete; and <br /> WHEREAS, spare parts are no longer being manufactured for this phone system; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year agreement to purchase a <br /> new phone system to replace the one described above; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into multi-year agreement for the <br /> purchase of a new phone system, to allow the Prosecutor's Office to replace their Hilo <br /> Office's current system. <br /> 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated <br /> obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this agreement will be for a period of five (5) years, at a <br /> cost of approximately $18,000 per year. <br />
