The service provided by the State has been a cost <br /> effective solution in reducing the number of open claims for the County. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of <br /> Hawai`i Human Resources Development to provide workers' compensation administrative <br /> services. <br /> The Department of Human Resources requests that this resolution be waived from the Finance <br /> Committee and be placed on the March 19, 2014 Council Agenda due to the expiration of the <br /> current agreement on March 31, 2014.
