et411' Osh i•• <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 335 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE KEA'AU <br /> COUGARS ATHLETIC BOOSTERS FOR KEA'AU HIGH SCHOOL'S PROJECT <br /> GRAD NIGHT. <br /> WHEREAS, Kea'au High School (KHS) has participated in Project Grad Night from <br /> 2008 to 2012, and this year 201 seniors will be graduating and have been invited to attend this <br /> alcohol- and drug-free event; and <br /> WHEREAS, KHS Project Grad Night will take place on campus on May 23, 2014, and <br /> include a luau dinner for graduates and their families, activities, games, dancing, a morning-after <br /> breakfast, memorabilia, and more; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Kea'au Cougars Athletic Boosters is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), which <br /> promotes and supports the health and wellness of all students in the Kea'au Complex <br /> Community by providing material and financial resources; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency <br /> Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution <br /> identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, or event for which the <br /> grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control has provided grant funding in the past for <br /> Project Grad Night in collaboration with the Kea'au Cougars Athletic Boosters to assist with <br /> events and programs for students that promote alternatives to drug and alcohol use; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the <br /> Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Kea'au Cougars Athletic Boosters to assist <br /> with expenses associated with KHS Project Grad Night; now, therefore, <br />
